27th August 2008- PARKING LOT (2)
Thursday, August 28, 2008
We operated again yesterday at the student parking lot just infront of Sekolah Perdagangan. Due to the school function which was held at 2PM and one of our members Akee could not come to work because of his dental check-ups, d8 had to cut the products quantity and sell more simpler food.

D8 started business at 8.45AM.

Products offered;

Plain Rice
Chilli Fried Rice
French Fries
Honey Fried Chix Wings
Honey Fried Chix Tail (Tongkeng)
Honey Fried Chix Sausages
Cakoi
Cocktail

Most of d8’s regular customer were asking for the company’s Royal BBQ. However, the Honey Fried Products were really a GOOD SELLING. The d8’s exclusive recipe is always the same, it is only the way it is prepared and cooked which differentiates. D8’s Chilli Fried Rice became a HIT too.

All products were sold and cleared just before 11.00AM. The sales went so good. D8 finished operated at 11.15AM and pack up everything

20th August 2008- PARKING LOT (1)
Monday, August 25, 2008
Last Wednesday, August the 20th, d8 operated again and this time the operational point was at the student parking lot just infront of Sekolah Perdagangan. The other seven competitors were also present at the location; the Ex Zone, Mix 10, FunTasteC, Eight, Wondrous and Grassire.

The camp was set early in the morning and d8 started business as early as 8.30AM. During the launching last time, the Guest of Honour who was actually the owner and founder of Nusa Laila Primary School offered to send a number of his pupils to visit our booth during our next business operation which was on that day (20/08/2008). The students arrived at around 8.45AM, there were more than 30 students along with their teachers.

D8 were selling these list of products;

BBQ Lamb/ Chicken Wings / Chicken Tail (tongkeng)
Fried Noodles
Sweet Corn
Crispy Chocolate Cake
Cocktail
Burger (Beef/ Chicken)
Ice Cream.

As usual, d8’s main menu; the BBQ food was the TOP SELLING again. The chicken tail was the new menu listed and d8 only offerred a small, limited quantity that day. The cocktail drink was also a HIT, a GREAT treat for every buyers. A very last minute innovative strategy was made by Nawi when d8 were facing customers from Nusa Laila. Apart from just selling ice cream, he also suggested to combine the cocktail with a scoop of ice cream and the new product was a BOMB. The pupils really love it. Even some teenagers and adult buyers bought the cocktail extra ice cream drink.

After 11.45AM, d8 reduced the remaining products’ price to 50c (except for crispy chocolate cake). The remaining product were the noodles. D8 also figured out to attract customers to buy by marketing it ‘Buy one, Free one’ and ‘Couple Noodle, One for You and One for your Beloved’.

D8 finished the operation before 12.30PM and all members pack up before 1.00PM. Overall, d8 was performing very well again.

17th August 2008- FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
The friendly football tournament was held at Jigsaw Primary School at Lambak. This event is organized by d8 and also another company, Ex Zone. By 8.30AM, d8 started to prepare the products to be sold. Akee prepared the egg sandwiches and hotdog while the crabstick and fish balls were prepared by Zaff. Initially all products were sold at $1.00 each item.

There were 8 groups participating in the tournament and they were divided into two groups, 4 in each group. Those under Group A are the Tutors, SAC, Oda and Last Minute. Meanwhile NVC, Jocon, Rojak 10 and Maskuwin fall under Group B.

Rules of the game are as follows;
1) Teams in Group A will have matches with each other, the same goes with Group B.
2) Each team will play 3 times and the scores will be recorded. The final score is the subtotal from the individual scores.
3) For the final round, the number one leading team from Group A will play with the number one leading team of Group B to acknowledge the champion. The same goes for the 2nd runner-up, 3rd and 4th positions from both groups.
4) By the end of the event, there will be only 4 winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th position) bringing home the trophies.
*Champion will also bring home medals.

As mentioned in the rules, all teams in both groups began their matches at around 9.00AM. It was very exciting, all teams were enthusiasm and each player showed off their skills and talents. Supporters were also present at the school compound. By 12.00PM, the 12 matches ended. The referee decided for a Zohor break and the final round would be started at 1.00PM. By midday, all d8 products price were decreased to only 50c. Hotdogs reached the highest selling that day.

The first round result;

Group A
Group B
1st – Tutors VS. 1st – Maskuwin
2nd – SAC VS. 2nd- Jocon
3rd – Oda VS. 3rd – Rojak 10
4th – Last Minute VS. 4th – NVC

The matches started again at 1.00PM. All players were very ready. Ironically, all teams in Group A won their matches against Group B. And so, the final result would be;

Champion Tutors
1st runner up SAC
2nd runner up Oda
4th place Last Minute.

Congratulations to all winners!

[Personal Note: Every team is a winner actually. Keep it up guys!! Congrates!;)]
